Meghan Trainor goes reggae!!!
Meghan Trainor is best known for her bubble-gum pop hits like ” All About That Bass” ”Lips Are Movin’ ‘and ”Dear Future Husband”. But her latest video for ”Better” takes on surprisingly heavy themes of substance abuse and strained family relationships.
Moving away from her typical stereo type classic uptempo, foot-tapping hits, she establishes the help from hard-core gritty hip hop Amercian rapper Yo Gotti for her brand new single ”Better”.
”Better” is a pop-reggae dance track with dancehall and rnb synths, opting for more of a sexy sultry sound from the caribbean island influenced theme vibe with a nice little reggae flow to it. It was released on 29th August 2016, as the third single from her second studio ablum ” Thank You”.
”Better” is a break up anthem song that sums up how Meghan feels She realizes that she could have found a way better partner than her ex, and vows to find someone who treats her right.
I absolutely love the new song ” Better” featuring Yo Gotti, we see a much more maturer and grown up sound from Meghan on this song, as she explores different elements of music genre such as a reggae and dancehall inspired flavour track, with the hook up of Yo Gotti to give it that gangsta street life hustle.
